Effective 1st May 2015, Charles River Laboratories Singapore offers AccuGENX-ID®.  This service employs our proprietary BacSeq (Bacterial 16S ribosomal RNA) and FunITS (Fungal ITS2) comparative gene sequencing powered by the Accugenix®validated database for identification.

The AccuGENX-ID®solution is based on the genotypic identification, which is the gold-standard for ensuring accurate microbial identifications in environmental monitoring programmes, sterility failure investigations and closure of investigations (FDA Guidance for the Industry, Sterile Drug Products Produced by Aseptic Processing - cGMPs, 2004).

Advantages:

  • Access to the industry's largest, validated sequence library (more than twice the coverage of other leading identification libraries)
  • Expert data analysis by experienced staff phylogeneticists
  • Superior performance over existing phenotypic, proteotypic and genotypic systems
  • Industry's highest reportable rate of 98%
  • Six times better reproducibility and repeatability than other systems
  • The Accugenix®  library is continuously updated to stay current with an evolving microbial world, where taxonomic changes and new species are described daily.
